The Union Home Ministry has withdrawn the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) licenses of two NGOs, Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) and Apne Aap Women Worldwide (AAWW). The motion was taken over violation of the law and diverting of funds received from abroad, officials said on Tuesday. Notably, the FCRA licence is needed to receive funds from abroad.
