A couple, namely Anurag Goswami and Karolina Goswami, who are the proprietors of the YouTube channel 'India in details', have come forward with allegations against YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, asserting that he orchestrated the dispatch of menacing individuals to physically assault them. This purported vendetta stems from their involvement in fact-checking one of Dhruv Rathee's videos.
Presenting their account via a video released on their YouTube channel, the couple disclosed that they encountered hostile encounters in both Berlin and Paris, which they attribute to the actions of what they describe as "radicalized supporters" of Dhruv Rathee.
Anurag Goswami expressed his concerns, stating, "Dhruv Rathee's radicalized followers have singled us out for persecution in Europe. We have experienced two separate incidents - one in France and another in Germany. We earnestly hope and anticipate that the Indian government will take measures to ensure our safety in light of these occurrences. We have already engaged with law enforcement at two European police stations."
Karolina Goswami, originally of Polish descent and responsible for creating the video critical of Dhruv Rathee, weighed in, remarking, "After considerable deliberation and meticulous consideration, we have reached the decision to bring this matter to the public's attention. Yes, I desire the YouTube community to witness the adversity we have endured and to comprehend the circumstances leading up to it."
Anurag Goswami proceeded to narrate their harrowing experiences in the video, detailing how they were targeted by individuals he characterizes as "radicalized supporters" of Dhruv Rathee, who vociferously advocated for the latter when confronted.
The video presentation also included photographic evidence of their vehicle, which had been vandalized, its windows shattered, and fragments of glass strewn about the scene.
Goswami further disclosed that they had taken the step of filing a formal complaint with the police on two separate occasions, following the two attacks that transpired in different European cities.
