Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) embarked on a visit to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday.
Accompanying Kejriwal on this spiritual journey were his wife, mother, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann along with his family.
Expressing his sentiments in a post on X, Kejriwal shared, "Today, I had the opportunity to visit Ayodhya with my parents and wife, where we were blessed with the divine darshan of Ram Lalla ji at the Shri Ram temple. Joining us on this auspicious occasion were Bhagwant ji and his family. Together, we sought the blessings of Lord Shri Ram Ji for the prosperity of our nation and the well-being of humanity. May Lord Shri Ramchandra ji bestow his blessings upon everyone. Jai Shri Ram."
This marks Arvind Kejriwal's second pilgrimage to Ayodhya, with his previous visit dating back to 2021.
Notably, Kejriwal did not attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22, which was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Explaining his absence, Kejriwal clarified that he did not receive a formal invitation for the Pran Pratishtha event. He mentioned, "Although I received a letter, upon contacting the organizers, they informed me that a delegation would formally extend the invitation. However, no delegation arrived. Nevertheless, the absence of a formal invitation is inconsequential. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony is a matter of immense pride and joy for everyone, both within the nation and beyond."
Furthermore, Kejriwal pledged to facilitate increased train services from Delhi to Ayodhya under his government's initiatives.
