Class first student closed in a classroom for 18 hours in UP school

A 7-year-old girl stayed closed up in a school in UP's Sambhal for 18 hours after the staff headed home without reviewing if any child was left back.

The happening came to glow only when the school opened on Wednesday forenoon/morning.

Block Education Officer Pope Singh stated a Class 1 student of the primary academy in Dhanari Patti of Gunnaur tehsil was left back after school hours on Tuesday. "She was discovered this morning when the academy opened. The girl is okay," the BEO said.

Her mother's uncle stated that when she did not return to the family after school on Tuesday, the girl's grandmother contacted the school only to be told by the team that there were no kids left there.

The family explored for her in the forest area but she was not found anywhere. When the school opened at 8 am on Wednesday, it

arrived in the morning that the girl had stayed closed in the school room overnight.

Block Education Officer Singh stated that after the school hours were over, the trainers and other staff members did not examine the rooms. "It is a case of neglect and measure will be taken against the whole staff," he added.
