Cyber Attack: After AIIMS, recently Safdarjung Hospital reports cyberattack

Officials from Safdarjung Hospital reported that the facility had been the victim of a cyberattack, however the damage was not as bad as it had been for the hospital at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Officials claim that because OPD services are managed manually at the hospital, the problem was not significant. The AIIMS server has been down for a total of 12 days as of today.

There was a cyberattack, according to Safdarjung Hospital's medical director, Dr. BL Sherwal. In November, our server was also unavailable for one day, but no data was lost. The National Informatics Center (NIC), which handles IT, revived the systems.

Dr. Sherwal went on to say that ransomware wasn't used in the cyberattack. Another hospital representative claimed that IP was restricted. "We learned that the servers were offline for a while in November, but they later came back online. We perform the majority of our work manually, "a Senior Resident doctor noted.
