According to Guinness World Records, Bobi, the oldest dog in the world, recently had a birthday celebration to mark his 31st birthday. In the Portuguese town of Conqueiros, the celebration was hosted in his home.
Bobi was a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo who had lived there his entire life. More than 100 people, according to the pet's owner, attended the celebration, which was planned in a typical Portuguese manner. For more than 100 visitors, the treats included seafood as well as local meats. It's interesting to note that Bobi exclusively eats food from people. A dancing group was present at the gathering to further enhance the good times, and Bobi contributed to the routine.
The owner, Leonel Costa, has raised several elderly canines in the past. In actuality, he was also the owner of Gira, Bobi's mother, who lived for up to 18 years. However, Costa claimed that he had never in his life thought that any of his dogs would live to be 30 years old.
The owner stated, "We view circumstances like this as a typical outcome of the life that they have, but Bobi is one of a kind. Costa claimed that one of the most important contributing elements to Bobi's lifespan must have been the tranquil and serene environment in which he was raised.
Bobi was never chained or leashed inside the Costa home and was always allowed to go free in the forests. The dog's owner also stated that because he was raised among people, he never experienced loneliness. As Bobi has gotten older, he finds it difficult to walk, which is why he likes to hang out in his front yard.
Like elderly folks, his visibility is deteriorating, and he sleeps all day. Bobi was born in 1992, according to the Veterinary Medical Service of the Municipality of Leiria.
