Election promises from Congress to ban Bajrang Dal in Karnataka

The BJP claimed on Tuesday that the Congress' pledge to outlaw Bajrang Dal in Karnataka if elected is an "insult" to Lord Hanuman and an effort to "save" the outlawed Popular Front of India and that the state's electorate will respond appropriately to the party on May 10 when they cast their ballots.

Sambit Patra, the national spokesperson for the BJP, criticized the Congress for its commitment and questioned what more could be expected from a party that views the singing of Jai Sri Ram as "communal politics" and an "insult to India."

"Today is Mangalwar (Tuesday), and Congress has conceived an unlucky idea on this Mangalwar. In preparation for the elections in Karnataka, the party published its manifesto, a collection of lies.

We all seen how the Congress descended to the level of disparaging Bajrang Bali from Karnataka, a sacred region connected to the Lord, Patra said during a press conference.

He described it as "audacious" and the "peak of appeasement politics." In Hinduism, Tuesday is regarded as a lucky day to worship Lord Hanuman.

"This is nothing more than the Congress's attempt to preserve the Popular Front of India." They continually hunt for justifications to defend PFI and similar companies, and this is the reason they insulted Bajrang Bali, according to Patra. "This is not new for the Congress as it appears to be engaging in communal politics when Jai Sri Ram is chanted," he continued.

In the ''sacred land'' of Karnataka, "with which Lord Hanuman has an association," he claimed, the Congress had made such a pledge." Lord Hanuman is the pride of Karnataka, Patra declared in a Kannada greeting to the locals. The Congress has insulted our lord in Karnataka, the home of Lord Hanuman. This kind of assault against our devata Hanuman Ji will not be tolerated in Karnataka, he continued. Patra reiterated his message to the citizens of Karnataka in Hindi during the press conference.

According to the party's election manifesto for the May 10 Karnataka Assembly elections, which was released earlier in the day, the Congress is committed to taking firm and decisive action against individuals and organizations like the Bajrang Dal and the Popular Front of India (PFI) that are "spreading hatred" among communities on the basis of caste and religion.

The party declared that such organizations will be "banned" as part of the effort. The Congress party, which believes that chanting Jai Shri Ram is an insult to India, will now arrest and jail those who will chant Jai Bajrang Bali, according to BJP spokesperson Patra. "When Prime Minister Narendra Modi had chanted Jai Sri Ram in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress had then objected to his chanting.

He continued, "This shows the 'unlucky thoughts' of the Congress. In an apparent jab at the party over its electoral defeats, Patra remarked, "The Congress today will have to think as to why they have been facing Bajrang Bali's 'prakop' (wrath) again and again since 2014."
