People were quite critical of "Adipurush"'s dialogues because they thought it didn't come up to the holiness and veracity of the Ramayana. There was a lot of criticism directed at Lord Hanuman's discourse, "Kapda tere baap ka, Tel tere baap ka, Aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalebi bhi tere baap ki." Fans were furious and criticized the language, calling it "tapori" and unfit for an epic like the Ramayana.
Some of the dialogues have been rewritten with the audience's feelings in mind, but they have not yet begun to appear in the picture in theatres. The phrase from "Jalegi Tere Baap Ki" has been modified to "Kapda Teri Lanka ka... toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka" instead of "Tu andar kaise ghusa... tu jaanta bhi hai kaun hoon main."

Manoj Muntashir, who received death threats after people saw the film, wrote the dialogue. The dialogue "Jo hamari behno...unki Lanka laga denge" has been modified to "Jo hamari behno...unki Lanka mein aag laga denge," among other exchanges.
'Mera ek sapole ne tumhare sheshnaag ko lamba kar diya' was another phrase that received a lot of criticism. Mere ek sapole ne tumhare iss sheshnaag ko samapt kar diya is now the discourse. "bhara pada hai"
The dialogue's author, Muntashir, responded to the criticism a day after it was released. He claimed that this was the language used by dadis and nanis to tell stories when they were younger. The same dialogues were used by numerous narrators. These dialogues have either been utilised before, or there is nothing novel about them.
