Army soldier's wife claims she was attacked by 40 people; 2 people were arrested

According to news agency ANI, the wife of an Army soldier said on Sunday that up to 40 people had raped, attacked, and otherwise mistreated her.

The jawan's wife claimed that more than forty individuals attacked her and verbally abuse her at Vellore, Tamil Nadu. She continued by claiming that they had touched her inappropriately. The jawan's wife also said that those individuals regularly threaten her and won't allow her to live in peace.

The jawan said earlier in the day that his wife's clothes had been taken off and that she had been viciously attacked by strangers.

The Superintendent of Police for Thiruvannamalai, Karthikeyan, stated in an FIR that a complaint has been filed under several sections based on the complaints made by the soldier. The SP added that Ramu and Hariprasad, the two defendants, had already been arrested.

According to the initial investigation, the occurrence appeared to be an instance of a legal dispute's fallout. The SP further stated that there were several events between them over a dispute over closing a store. However, up until this point, the initial inquiry could only confirm as much. Karthikeyan stated that a thorough inquiry will be carried out to ascertain exactly what happened over the course of the following few days.

The Northern Command of the Indian Army said in a statement that an Indian Army soldier had expressed concern for the safety of his entire family. The statement continued, "The Indian Army's top priority is the welfare of the families out there in the field," and said that the Army is in contact with the relevant police officials. It also pledged full support for the investigation's conclusion.
