To tackle power cuts, the Sikkim govt is offering 16,000 students inverter sets & Batteries

 


Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of Sikkim, unveiled a program on Wednesday that will supply students with inverter sets and batteries so that their studies won't be interrupted by energy problems.

The North-Eastern state struggles with power outages every year, mostly in the hilly areas. Sometimes there are hours-long power outages, which have an impact on student's ability to learn and pursue their studies.

Aware of the problem, the chief minister unveiled a plan to give 16,000 students in the state's schools and colleges inverter sets and batteries. Students' productivity and study time will increase thanks to this plan.

Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of Sikkim, stated to the media, "Our main goal is to assist the Sikkim students. There are intermittent power outages in the highlands for a variety of causes that interfere with pupils' ability to learn and study.

In order to address this issue, he continued, "We are giving batteries and inverter sets to 16,000 students so that students can study peacefully, regardless of any interruptions in the electricity supply."
