Army Jawwan, missing in Kashmir, found by J&K Police  

 


The army soldier, who disappeared from his hometown in Kulgam district, Kashmir while on leave, was found by the police on Thursday, Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a post on X (before) this is Twitter). Police added that a joint interrogation would be conducted shortly after the medical examination of the soldier, identified as Javed Ahmad Wani.

Wani, in her late 20s, went missing near her south Kashmir home in Kulgam on July 29. According to family and police officials, he left his home in Asthal in Kulgam in a car to buy groceries as he was about to leave for Ladakh the next day to continue his mission.

According to his family, the car was found abandoned not far away with bloodstains. “He left the market at 7:30pm and a while later we found his car with blood stains. One of his sandals and cap was also there,” the soldier's brother, Mudasir Ahmad Wani, told HT.

Javed returned home for the Eid-ul-Azha holiday and has been on leave since June 29. His family fears he has been kidnapped by militants. Following the incident, security forces conducted a major manhunt in and around Kulgam. Several people were interviewed and their phone details were reviewed during the search for the soldier.

Meanwhile, Javed's father, Mohammad Ayoub Wani, has appealed to those who may have kidnapped his son to release him.

"I appeal to all of you to let him live. If he has offended anyone, I apologize. If they want, I will also make him quit," he told reporters in advance. there.
