"Delhi will be like London, New York," said Mayor Shelly Oberoi

On the second day of the super clean campaign, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) conducted a cleanup of all 250 districts of the city.

Speaking about the 'Ab Delhi Hogi Saaf' road, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi said: "The BJP - the body that has controlled the city government for 15 years - has not cleaned any lanes, rooms or toilets. As a result, Delhi was flooded with garbage that turned into three huge mountains of garbage."

Shelly Oberoi declared that "Delhi will be transformed into a city as clean and tidy as London and New York".

The mayor said the campaign is aimed at making Delhi hygienic and bringing order to the entire MCD administration. The year-long campaign - which will involve all 250 MCD neighborhoods - will feature groups of 3,000 people.
