Hungama has existed for 20 years. Mr. Paresh Rawal I'd like to see the movie redone

Actor Paresh Rawal says no one on the production team thought Hungama would be "fondly remembered till date" as it approaches its 20th anniversary. In fact, the seasoned actor thinks someone should attempt a remake of the popular movie.

20 years after the movie's debut, Rawal says, "I'm incredibly thrilled and proud that the movie is still fondly remembered today. It was a very unconventional family comedy that has now become a cult classic. We had a great time making the movie, which Priyadarshan Ji wrote, directed, and cast with excellent actors. The producers also provided appropriate backing for it.

The 68-year-old actor continues, "When we were working on the film, kissi ko koi umeed nahi thi, na hi hoti hai. We didn't begin the endeavor with the intention of it becoming a hit or classic. Na hi kabhi sochte hain, humne kabhi yeh socha nahi. We arrive on stage prepared to perform honestly and completely. The audience is what makes a movie a success—and in this case, a classic. Because of their love, the story and movie have stayed fresh in their memories for 20 years, making them memorable. We have no control over it. We simply complete our work and proceed.

The movie, which also starred Shoma Anand, Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen, and others, told the tale of a group of people whose misunderstanding of one another led to a series of chaotic but amusing events. He believes that "the subject, supported by everyone's performances, which makes the film timeless."

The actor acknowledges that he is aware that several movie clips starring Rawal and Anand are frequently exploited as memes on social media but that he doesn't specifically search for them. He admits, "I don't see social media or memes because I find it to be a hassle and often bore me.

It is a remake of Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, a 1984 Malayalam film directed by Priyadarshan. So, does he want a new remake of the movie?

I don't mind if the movie is made again, but it needs to live up to the original that we created. If the writing is strong, only then should one try to change it and remake it; otherwise, one should leave it alone. The actor says, "Jo hai usko bigadne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai."
