Ather Energy has revealed pricing for the new 450S and 450X electric scooters. The 450S was recently revealed by the company as a more affordable alternative to the 450X. Both e-scooters are currently only available with a 2.9 kWh battery, of which the 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery is expected to be on the market in October 2023.
Speaking at the price announcement, Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy, said: “With today's refreshed portfolio launch, we now have three products on the platform. 450 platforms in different price segments. This allows us to reach more buyers. The 450S will appeal to anyone who wants to enter the electric scooter segment but is looking for the quality and assurance that Ather scooters offer at an affordable price point. The new Ather 450S 2023 comes with a 2.9 kWh battery, giving it an IDC range of 115 km. It is combined with an electric motor of 7.24 hp, 22Nm, helping the scooter to accelerate from 0-40 km / h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 90 km / h. The scooter comes with some good kits, including a new DeepView TFT display that offers a host of features, as well as new safety features like FallSafe - shuts down the engine if it feels the rider is about to fall, Emergency stop signal and shore regeneration. These features have also been incorporated into the 450X.

The new Ather 450S is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (old showroom, Pune). The Ather 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (old showroom, Pune) while the top-end Ather 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (old showroom, Pune) ). The Pro-Pack is priced at Rs 14,000 for the 450S, Rs 16,000 for the 450X, and Rs 23,000 for the 450X with a 3.9 kWh battery.
On the other hand, the Ather 450X 2023 is also currently offered with a 2.9 kWh battery, while the top-end 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery is expected to launch in October. The smaller battery offers a range. 115 km, 30 km less than the larger battery. Customers have the option to upgrade to a Pro Plan that adds features such as Ride Assist, Ather Battery Protection, AtherStack updates, and Ather Connect.
