Breaking up the country: RN Ravi condemns people who wish to harm. Ahimsa Dharma

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi expressed strong criticism on Monday for individuals making contentious remarks about 'Sanatana Dharma,' suggesting that they are attempting to fracture the country. The Governor's comments were evidently aimed at the ongoing controversy surrounding Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's recent statement about eradicating 'Sanatana Dharma,' which has ignited nationwide political turmoil.

Nevertheless, in his speech, RN Ravi did not mention anyone by name.

Addressing the Valedictory ceremony of the Sanatana Utsava organized by Palimaru Matha in Chennai, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi remarked, “Those who seek to eliminate or harm Sanatana Dharma have an agenda to disintegrate this nation. The core strength of Bharat is Sanatana. Therefore, if you wish to dismantle this country, strike at its core. That is what the British did. They attempted it. That is how they succeeded in fracturing Bharat.”

He went on to say, “Bharat cannot afford another partition. Those who speak against Sanatana have the intention to break this nation. We must be aware of it. Not only should we be aware of it, but we must also be conscious of our duty to spread the light of Sanatana.”

The Governor asserted that Bharat (India) was a manifestation of 'Sanatana Dharma.'

"Tamil Nadu is a sacred place where Sanatana Dharma has flourished. It is found in more than one hundred thousand inscriptions in Tamil Nadu. Those who claim they will deny or eradicate Sanathana Dharma should try to destroy all of this if they can. It is in the DNA. It is in the Sanskar. It cannot be destroyed. People have tried," Ravi stated.

"Today, the distortions caused by some individuals who make various negative statements are motivated by their self-interest. They ignore the values of Sanathana. But Sanatana is impervious to destruction," he added.

Notably, DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin stirred controversy recently when he alleged that 'Sanatan Dharma' opposes social justice and should be eliminated. He also likened it to diseases like dengue and malaria during a conclave speech.
