In the midst of the controversy surrounding the removal of the office spaces of senior BJP leaders in West Bengal from the party headquarters, the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) has taken a stance against the BJP and extended an invitation to these leaders to join their organization. They have asserted that the Hindu Mahasabha represents the "sole Sanatani" party and have also declared their intention to participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Chandrachur Goswami, a leader of the Hindu Mahasabha, characterized the BJP as an "anti-Bengali party" and suggested that senior BJP figures, Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha, whose offices were dismantled, should contemplate joining the Hindu Mahasabha before the Lok Sabha elections.
He went on to critique the BJP, asserting that they "will not give its due to Sanatani Bengali Hindus."
"We, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, will participate in the Lok Sabha elections. RSS originated from us, and we are the only Sanatani nationalist party," emphasized Goswami.
Concurrently, several posters apparently associated with the Hindu Mahasabha expressing support for Ghosh and Sinha appeared in the vicinity of the BJP headquarters. These posters conveyed messages such as "We won't accept the division of Bengal. We condemn the dismantling of Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha's offices. Let's join forces to strengthen ABHM."
Nevertheless, Goswami suggested that these posters were likely installed by "our workers or by some BJP workers who are disgruntled with the party."
"Some suggest that Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha are exploring a connection to join our party. It is evident that Ghosh and Sinha's contributions to the BJP are being disregarded. Why? Because they are Bengali," remarked Goswami.
The removal of the office spaces belonging to two former presidents of the West Bengal BJP, Dilip Ghosh and Rahul Sinha, was carried out as part of renovations at the party headquarters in Kolkata. The party's explanation cited the need to expand the IT cell office in anticipation of the 2024 polls. However, this decision has generated scrutiny and raised eyebrows both within and outside the party, with many perceiving it as an unconventional move.
