The iPhone 15 series is slated for its official launch on September 12, just a week away. This highly anticipated event is expected to showcase not only the next-generation iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus but also a Pro model, in addition to another ultra-high-end flagship device. However, Twitter tipster Majin Bu has recently suggested that Apple may release a total of at least five iPhone models this year. Until now, speculation had centered around the possibility of either an iPhone 15 Pro or an Ultra model making its debut this year. However, this source claims that Apple intends to introduce both models, despite them sharing similar specifications. So, what sets these two apart?
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumored to boast 6GB of RAM and offer storage options of up to 1TB. Now, the iPhone 15 Ultra is poised to raise the bar even further. According to the tipster, this variant might feature 8GB of RAM and an impressive 2TB storage capacity. Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Ultra model is said to come equipped with enhanced camera capabilities compared to the regular Pro model.
While both models are expected to share most of their features, the iPhone 15 Ultra could potentially come with a slightly higher price tag, potentially commanding an additional $100 (approximately Rs 8,000) over the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Speaking of prices, leaks have indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be priced at $1,299, up from last year's model priced at $1,099. In India, Apple might introduce the new Pro Max model at Rs 1,59,900, given the rumors suggesting that the company values each dollar at Rs 100. If we go by the latest leak, the price of the iPhone 15 Ultra could surpass the Pro Max by more than Rs 8,000. This implies that Apple could potentially launch the new Ultra model at Rs 1,67,900.
The iPhone 15 Pro is anticipated to be priced at $1,099, marking an increase from last year's model, which was priced at $999. Therefore, Apple may opt to release the Pro model in India at Rs 1,39,900. As for the standard iPhone 15 model and its Plus version, they may either retain their previous price points or experience a slight price hike. If Apple decides to maintain the standard model's previous pricing, we can anticipate it to start at the familiar Rs 79,900.
It's worth noting that the iPhone 13 is currently listed on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart with a starting price of Rs 58,999. Additionally, those with an HDFC bank credit card who seek further discounts can purchase the iPhone 13 at an effective price of Rs 56,999 via Flipkart. While there may not be a bank offer on Amazon, both platforms provide exchange offers, allowing customers to potentially lower the price further by trading in their old phones. However, it's important to keep in mind that the exchange value is determined based on the age and condition of the old device.
