In Maharashtra's Thane district, a 27-year-old man has been taken into custody on allegations of assaulting and causing injuries to four police officers, according to an official announcement made on Monday.
The city's police department apprehended Aniket Mhatre, a resident of Alibag, in connection with the incident that transpired on September 23, as reported by the official.
The incident unfolded when a trailer was en route to Nhava Sheva at approximately 10 p.m. on September 23. At Mankoli Naka, three individuals intercepted the trailer, physically assaulted the driver, and made off with a sum of Rs 3,500, as detailed by sub-inspector Santosh Shinde.
