The "frustrated fraternity" has adopted the "fashion" of criticizing Sanatan Dharma: Naqvi

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi criticized the comments made by DMK leaders about Sanatan Dharma, emphasizing that targeting 'Sanatan Dharma' has become a prevailing trend among a disillusioned segment of society. He asserted that their lack of substance and credibility would ultimately rebound on them.

Participating in the BJP's nationwide 'Meri Maati, Mera Desh' campaign, Naqvi underscored the profound significance of 'Sanatan Dharma' as the essence of Bharat (India). He cautioned that those who attempt to undermine this essence will face dire consequences.

Naqvi remarked, "If someone launches an attack against 'Sanatan Dharma,' the world's oldest faith, it is a manifestation of their mental instability," as per a statement from his office.

He further noted that attacking 'Sanatan Dharma' has become a popular pastime among those who are frustrated, but the actions of this group, which he referred to as the "Sanatan bashing brigade," will ultimately lead to their own downfall.

Drawing historical context, Naqvi pointed out that Bharat has endured numerous foreign invasions over the centuries, resulting in the plundering of its resources and assaults on its 'Sanatan values' and rich cultural identity.

He underscored that while the foreign invaders succeeded in exploiting Bharat's vast resources, they failed in their nefarious agendas to obliterate the country's culture and 'Sanatan values.'

Naqvi emphasized that the ongoing assaults on the 'Sanatan culture' are not accidental but rather deliberate choices made by certain quarters.

He called it a national obligation to unite and thwart any deliberate efforts to undermine Bharatiya culture and values.

Furthermore, Naqvi criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for making negative remarks about Bharat while abroad. He accused the Congress and its former leader of propagating misinformation and engaging in conspiracies against the country on foreign soil, contrasting their stance with the positive recognition Bharat receives globally.

These comments by Naqvi come in the midst of a political controversy sparked by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's assertion that Sanatan Dharma promotes division and discrimination, advocating for its eradication. Additionally, DMK leader A Raja likened it to diseases like leprosy and HIV, which carry social stigma. This prompted the BJP to accuse opposition leaders of harboring "deep-rooted Hinduphobia."
