Apoorva Ramaswamy, the spouse of US Republican presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy, has refuted concerns surrounding the Indian-American billionaire's popularity among female voters. She dismissed reports that indicated an increase in Ramaswamy's unfavorability rating following the initial presidential debate.
In response to inquiries regarding Vivek Ramaswamy's supposed "struggles in connecting with female voters," Apoorva stated in an American television interview that her husband had "generated significant interest" during the first presidential debate.
Regarding the assertion that many women found Vivek "arrogant and even offensive" in the presidential debate, Apoorva remarked, "Some individuals came prepared to attack, and he can hold his own in such situations. However, our primary focus is his vision for our nation."
Vivek Ramaswamy's unfavorability rating experienced an uptick after the initial GOP presidential primary debate held in Milwaukee on August 23. Nevertheless, Apoorva dismissed these ratings, characterizing them as "just one data point," as reported by News Nation.
"In my experience, Vivek is an exceptionally kind and generous parent and partner. We've constructed a life together, and he has made numerous sacrifices for my career. He has been a fantastic individual to build a life with, and that level of generosity isn't necessarily conveyed on a debate stage," she expressed.
Vivek Ramaswamy's wife has been accompanying him on the campaign trail.
Ramaswamy has been causing a stir in the political arena with his distinctive perspectives and policy proposals. According to the latest report, Ramaswamy occupies the third position in the Republican primary lineup, trailing behind Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.
