A Los Angeles model was discovered dead in a refrigerator, her hands and ankles bound

Maleesa Mooney, a 31-year-old model, tragically lost her life in her Los Angeles apartment on September 12. An autopsy report has unveiled distressing details about her demise. Importantly, it has been disclosed that she was two months pregnant at the time of her passing.

The autopsy findings, as reported by the New York Post, indicate the presence of blunt force injuries on various parts of Maleesa Mooney's body, including her face, head, back, and upper left arm. These injuries strongly suggest that she was engaged in a physically violent altercation prior to her untimely death.

In addition to the physical injuries, toxicology results revealed the presence of certain substances in her body, namely benzoylecgonine, as well as a combination of cocaethylene and ethanol. However, given the circumstances surrounding Ms. Mooney's discovery, the report acknowledges uncertainty regarding the role that drugs and/or alcohol might have played in her death.

What makes this tragedy even more distressing is the manner in which Maleesa Mooney's lifeless body was found. She was discovered inside a refrigerator, her mouth gagged, and her wrists and ankles bound together on that fateful day in September. It is worth noting that, according to her sister, she was carrying a two-month pregnancy at the time of her passing.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's conclusion regarding the nature of her death was unequivocal, deeming it "homicidal violence." This grim classification underscores the severity of the circumstances surrounding her demise.

In a chilling twist, investigators also uncovered an alert on Mooney's iCloud account that pointed to the unauthorized use of her electronic devices. This discovery led her family to suspect that the individual responsible for her murder may have been attempting to sell her iPhone and MacBook.

Her sister, Jourdin Pauline, spoke to a local news channel, expressing the deep pain and heartache that this tragedy has caused her and her family. She conveyed, "I can't fathom the ordeal my sister endured, and the very thought of it pains me."
