The exciting news is that Akshay and Raveena will soon grace the silver screen together in an upcoming film titled 'Welcome to the Jungle.' In a candid chat with ANI, Akshay spilled the beans about this new venture. "We're doing a film called 'Welcome to the Jungle,' for which we will commence shooting soon," he shared with enthusiasm.
Notably, the duo's iconic song 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' remains etched in the memories of Bollywood fans. Akshay couldn't help but express his admiration for this classic track, stating, "Tip Tip Barsa Paani is a brilliant song." The actor reminisced about their successful collaborations, remarking, "We've done maximum hit films together, and I am looking forward to starting the shoot (of 'Welcome to the Jungle') after a long, long time. We will be back together on the same screen," he concluded.
The silver screen saw Akshay and Raveena together in the film 'Police Force: An Inside Story' in 2004, marking their last joint project.
Their connection also extends beyond the realm of cinema. Akshay and Raveena's personal history includes a romantic involvement in 1995 and even an engagement in the late 90s. However, their paths eventually diverged without a concrete explanation. Subsequently, Akshay entered into matrimony with Twinkle Khanna in 2001, while Raveena tied the knot with businessman Anil Thadani three years later.
Raveena has previously commented on their engagement, stating, "We were a hit pair, during 'Mohra,' and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck in my head; I don’t know why. Everyone moves on; people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal."
