Video: Suspect in Kerala serial blasts acknowledges guilt but claims their ideas are dangerous

In a noteworthy development, Dominic Martin, the individual who voluntarily presented himself to the authorities, has admitted to orchestrating the sequence of explosions that transpired at a convention held by Jehovah's Witnesses in Ernakulam, Kerala. Prior to his surrender, Martin utilized social media as a platform to elucidate his motivations for targeting this particular Christian denomination.

In the video statement, the individual, who appears to be in his fifties, articulated his profound disagreement with the doctrines propagated by Jehovah's Witnesses, which spurred his decision to disrupt their activities. He contended that the beliefs espoused by this group pose a peril to the nation, asserting that they are actively "infecting the minds of the youth."

Martin also disclosed his prior association with Jehovah's Witnesses, establishing a personal link to the group. In a video that spans approximately six minutes, and has since gained significant traction on social media platforms, Martin unequivocally asserted his accountability for the explosive incidents.

Providing insight into his rationale, he conveyed, "Six years ago, I came to the realization that this organization had strayed from the right path, and its teachings ran contrary to the interests of our nation. On numerous occasions, I beseeched them to rectify their course, but they consistently refused to do so."

Elaborating further, he expounded, "Holding one's beliefs is entirely legitimate. However, the dogma they endorse stipulates the annihilation of the entire world's populace, while they alone persist. In the face of a doctrine that yearns for the demise of 8.5 billion people, I found myself at a loss for an alternative. Thus, I resolved to confront this misguided ideology, given my deep-seated awareness of its detrimental impact."

Martin articulated his grievances with the group, emphasizing their derogatory characterization of the people in the country as prostitutes and condemned individuals. He highlighted their injunctions for adherents not to collaborate with those outside their faith and to abstain from sharing meals with them. Martin contended that these doctrines constituted a fundamentally flawed ideology.

Furthermore, he asserted that the group dissuades adults from participating in the electoral process and refraining from enlisting in military services, actions that he deemed detrimental to the welfare of the nation. Martin concluded his message by drawing attention to the necessity of curbing the influence of such groups that propagate dangerous ideas, opining that in the absence of such control, individuals like him might be compelled to take extreme measures.

It is confirmed that Dominic Martin has surrendered to the police. Nevertheless, authorities have disclosed that he is currently undergoing thorough interrogation, and his claims are being subject to verification. As of now, the police have refrained from officially attributing the responsibility for the explosions to him.
