Watch: Chandrababu Naidu returns home after being granted bail, and there is a flower shower

On Wednesday morning, ardent supporters of Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, warmly welcomed him at his residence. Their enthusiasm was palpable as they enthusiastically cheered and adorned him with fragrant flowers.

Chandrababu Naidu's return to his residence followed his release from the Rajahmundry Central Jail in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday, marking the end of a 53-day period of detention. The Andhra Pradesh High Court had granted him interim bail in a case related to a multi-crore skill development scam. Upon regaining his freedom, Naidu expressed his gratitude to his loyal supporters and fellow politicians for their unwavering support during his time in custody.

During the bail proceedings, Naidu's legal representatives informed the court that he required temporary release to undergo cataract surgery. Acknowledging the humanitarian aspect and the petitioner's health condition, the court granted interim bail on health grounds. In this context, the bench instructed the former Chief Minister to appear before the Superintendent of the central prison in Rajamahendravaram no later than November 28.

The court's order included a set of conditions, which entailed that Naidu must provide a bail bond amounting to Rs.1,00,000, supported by two sureties of a similar sum, to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. Additionally, Naidu was required to furnish comprehensive details regarding the treatment he received and the hospital where the surgery took place, which was to be presented in a sealed cover to the Superintendent of the Central Prison upon his surrender. It is noteworthy that Naidu had been taken into custody on September 9, and the high court had scheduled the regular bail petition for November 10.
