$10,000 reward for information about an Indian missing person listed as one of the FBI's most wanted

Mayushi Bhagat, a 29-year-old female student from India, mysteriously disappeared over four years ago in New Jersey, prompting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to announce a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her location or recovery. Bhagat, who had arrived in the US on a student visa, was last seen leaving her Jersey City apartment on the evening of April 29, 2019, clad in "colorful pajama pants and a black T-shirt." Her family reported her absence to the police on May 1, 2019.

Both the FBI Newark Field Office and the Jersey City Police Department are actively seeking assistance from the public to unravel the mystery surrounding Bhagat's disappearance. The reward offered by the FBI serves as an incentive for individuals with information about her whereabouts to come forward. The FBI had previously included Bhagat in its "Missing Persons" list in July of the previous year, urging the public to contribute any relevant details.

Born in India in July 1994, Bhagat was pursuing her studies at the New York Institute of Technology under an F1 student visa. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, she reportedly has connections in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Described as 5'10" with black hair and brown eyes, Bhagat's 'Missing Person' poster can be found on the FBI's "Most Wanted" page under the category of "Kidnappings/Missing Persons."

Individuals possessing information about Mayushi Bhagat are urged to contact either the FBI Newark or the Jersey City Police Department, with the potential for a reward of up to $10,000 awaiting those whose information leads to her discovery or recovery. The collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and the public aim to shed light on the circumstances of Bhagat's disappearance, offering hope for her concerned family and friends.
