Amit Shah and JP Nadda are scheduled to meet in Kolkata prior to the Lok Sabha elections

On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda arrived in Kolkata to evaluate the organizational preparedness of the West Bengal BJP in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in 2024. The day's agenda includes a series of organizational meetings between Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and the West Bengal BJP workers.

In addition to these crucial discussions, the two prominent BJP leaders participated in a visit to Gurudwara Bara Sikh Sangat in Kolkata to offer prayers on the auspicious occasion of Veer Baal Diwas. Further plans involve their visit to the Kalighat Temple, and requisite security arrangements are already in progress for this event.

Amit Shah has reportedly set an ambitious target of winning 35 out of the 42 seats in West Bengal during the upcoming elections, and discussions during the scheduled meetings will revolve around strategic considerations leading into the new year, as disclosed by sources to India Today.

The joint visit by these high-profile leaders, according to BJP State General Secretary Agnimitra Paul, underscores the paramount importance that West Bengal holds in the eyes of the party's central leadership, emphasizing the significance attached to the state's political landscape and electoral prospects.
