"Ashok Gehlot, police failed to provide security," the wife of the Karni Sena chief claims in the FIR

Following the tragic shooting death of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in his Jaipur residence, his wife has lodged a complaint accusing Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Director General of Police of neglecting security measures despite prior death threats against Gogamedi.

In a detailed complaint submitted to the police, Gogamedi's wife revealed that a letter, sent to Rajasthan DGP Umesh Mishra in March, explicitly warned of a plot to harm Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Despite multiple alerts regarding potential threats to Gogamedi's life, both Gehlot and Mishra allegedly failed to provide the necessary security to the Karni Sena chief.

The incident, captured on CCTV, depicts unidentified gunmen shooting Gogamedi before swiftly escaping the scene. In response to this heinous act, a case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, along with sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Arms Act.

Furthermore, the police have successfully identified two of the accused individuals involved in the murder. Rohit Rathore, hailing from Makrana Nagaur, and Nitin Fouji, a resident of Mahendragath in Haryana, are among the individuals identified. Sources suggest that the accused, including Naveen Shekhawat, Rohit Rathore, and Nitin Fauji, had deceived the Karni Sena chief by presenting a marriage card.

While the murder may potentially be linked to a land dispute, particularly involving Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi and Rohit Godara, a member of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, the police are actively exploring alternative angles in their investigation. Godara, who claimed responsibility for the murder, has raised suspicions regarding the motive, and the police are meticulously examining all aspects of the case to ascertain the truth behind this tragic event.
