In a vehicle accident in Jalandhar, an Army Lieutenant died and a captain-rank officer was hurt


In the early hours of Saturday, a tragic incident unfolded in Punjab's Jalandhar district as the car transporting a Lieutenant-rank Army officer and a Captain overturned, subsequently plunging into a roadside field. The unfortunate episode resulted in the untimely demise of the Lieutenant, identified as Akshit from Hisar, Haryana, while Captain Yuvraj, hailing from Nagaur, Rajasthan, sustained injuries and is currently under medical care at a military hospital.

According to reports from the police, the accident occurred around 2.30 am near Narangpur village as the officers were en route to the Jalandhar Cantt office in their vehicle. The car reportedly lost control near Narangpur, an incident attributed to the challenging conditions posed by dense fog in the vicinity.

This lamentable event underscores the hazards posed by adverse weather conditions, particularly the dense fog that significantly contributed to the unfortunate turn of events. The somber outcome of the car overturning serves as a poignant reminder of the unpredictable nature of road travel and the need for heightened caution, especially during challenging weather conditions.
