Following a distressing incident in Haryana's Faridabad, an official response has been initiated as a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been assembled under the jurisdiction of Haryana Police to delve into the case. This incident revolves around the younger brother of cow vigilante Bittu Bajrangi, named Mahesh, who was subjected to a horrifying attack by a group of men.

According to the account provided by Bittu Bajrangi, the assault transpired at approximately 1:20 am on Thursday. The assailants, arriving in a vehicle, targeted Mahesh, physically assaulting him before dousing him in petrol and setting him on fire. Mahesh suffered severe burn injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention.

The SIT, designated to probe this disturbing incident, comprises key personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Saran Police Station, the in-charge of Parvatiya Colony Police Post, and the Crime Branch Sector-48 in-charge.

Bittu Bajrangi, holding the position of the national president of Goraksha Bajrang Force, reported that upon Mahesh's late-night arrival home, his wife, Neha, discovered him critically burnt. They swiftly transported him to a nearby hospital, from where he was subsequently referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for further medical intervention. Presently, Mahesh is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Faridabad.

Bajrangi, deeply affected by the incident, promptly reported it to the police, identifying one of the wrongdoers. Expressing his frustration and determination for justice, he asserted that if appropriate actions were not taken against the perpetrators, he would take matters into his own hands.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the accused, with the examination of nearby CCTV footage and forensic analysis of Mahesh's clothes being part of the investigative process. Additionally, Bittu Bajrangi has implicated a person named Arman in the incident, linking it to the violence in Nuh. Alleging continuous threats, Bajrangi had previously filed complaints with the Haryana Chief Minister and Faridabad Police Commissioner regarding threats received through various phone numbers.

It's noteworthy that Bittu Bajrangi had previously been embroiled in controversy for his involvement in instigating violence in Nuh and delivering a hate speech. Subsequently, he was granted bail.
