"Served tea-biscuit, no samosa": JD(U) leader criticizes Congress, citing financial difficulties

JD(U) leader Sunil Kumar Pintu playfully poked fun at the Congress during Tuesday's INDIA meeting, humorously remarking that samosas were notably absent, attributing the absence to the delayed influx of donations for the Congress's crowdfunding campaign.

Sunil Kumar Pintu, a Janata Dal-United (JDU) MP, took a light-hearted swipe at the Congress, highlighting their purported financial constraints by asserting that the party couldn't even manage to arrange for samosas. He reminisced about earlier alliance meetings that featured both tea and samosas, contrasting it with the latest INDIA bloc meeting, where the refreshments were limited to tea and biscuits.

The fourth INDIA bloc meeting, which took place recently, apparently concluded without any substantive discussions, and Pintu amusingly linked this absence of serious discourse to the Congress's financial situation. He pointed out that the Congress had publicized its financial constraints, soliciting donations of various amounts, yet these contributions had not materialized, leading to a more modest gathering focused on tea and biscuits, sans samosas, or significant discussions.

In response to Sunil Kumar Pintu's quip, BJP leader Amit Malviya seized the opportunity to playfully comment on the dissatisfaction expressed by Nitish Kumar's MPs over the absence of samosas in the INDIA alliance meeting. He suggested that until Nitish Kumar is officially declared the Prime Ministerial candidate of the alliance, similar lighthearted complaints might persist.
