In a tragic incident in Karnataka's Bidar, a two-year-old boy lost his life as an SUV fatally struck him while he was engrossed in play along the roadside.
This distressing occurrence unfolded near Harogeri in Bidar, precisely in front of the Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli Hospital, and was captured by the hospital's surveillance cameras.
The toddler, identified as Basavachetan, was the beloved child of Satish Patil and Sangita, residents of Harogeri. As per the CCTV footage retrieved, the little boy was playing independently beside a parked vehicle when an Innova car turned and accidentally ran over him. Subsequently, the car hastily left the scene. Despite the prompt arrival of the boy's parents and local residents, he succumbed to his injuries.
Heartbreakingly, the toddler's father attempted to chase the fleeing car, but his efforts proved futile. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings by registering a case at the Gandhiganj police station concerning this tragic incident.
