A significant car rally was orchestrated by the Indian community residing in California's Silicon Valley to commemorate the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The rally, spanning from Sunnyvale to Warm Spring BART station and Golden Gate, culminated in Fremont in the Bay Area. Enthusiastically attended by over 1,100 participants, the event featured vehicles adorned with saffron flags depicting the image of Lord Ram. Digital billboard trucks, showcasing different aspects of the Ramayana and displaying Lord Ram's image, added to the spectacle.
Six Hindu volunteers coordinated the extensive rally, covering a distance exceeding 150 km. The highlight of the occasion was a mesmerizing Tesla car light show, featuring over 300 cars, captivating the audience. Participants even used online apps for seamless coordination, allowing them to join the rally from various cities.
The grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, witnessing the participation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 'Pran Pratistha' rituals, is scheduled for Monday. The ceremony is set to commence at 12:20 pm and is anticipated to conclude by 1 pm. Following this, PM Modi will address a gathering of over 7,000 individuals, including seers and prominent personalities, at the venue.
In observance of this monumental event, several states have declared January 22 as a public holiday, while the Central government has announced a half-day closure for all its offices nationwide.
