Upon his arrival at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport, Arun Yogiraj, the esteemed sculptor renowned for crafting the revered Ram Lalla idol gracing the newly erected Ram Temple in Ayodhya, was greeted with an enthusiastic reception on Wednesday.
This reception, orchestrated by a multitude of BJP supporters, saw Yogiraj being adorned with floral garlands amidst resounding chants of 'Jai Sri Ram' and 'Long Live Yogiraj'. The significance of his craftsmanship was highlighted by those present, emphasizing the pride felt by the state of Karnataka and his hometown of Mysuru for his monumental contribution to sculptural artistry.
Among the accolades, Yogiraj's spouse, Vijetha, expressed her profound joy at witnessing her husband's historic achievement. Hailing from Mysuru and holding an MBA degree, Yogiraj has rightfully earned acclaim for his exemplary work.
Noteworthy among his creations is the majestic 51-inch Ram Lalla idol for the Ayodhya temple, alongside the towering 28-ft statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose near India Gate and the imposing 12-ft statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya in Kedarnath. Each of these sculptures holds significance, having been inaugurated by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
