The Indian-American community is actively preparing to observe and celebrate the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, planning unique events such as car rallies in various locations across the United States.
A notable group, 'California Indians,' is orchestrating a distinctive car rally scheduled for January 20 to commemorate the occasion as the "homecoming" of "Bhagwan Shri Ram Ji." The rally, anticipated to include over 400 cars, is designed to traverse from South Bay to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Emphasizing the significance of this celebration, the organizers conveyed in a press release that the event is a unifying effort by Indians in Northern California to rejoice in what is considered the most momentous and prideful occurrence in modern Indian history.
Leading up to the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, numerous local temples and diaspora organizations throughout the United States are planning special festivities. Similar car rallies have been conducted in various cities such as Washington and Chicago in recent weeks.
Community leaders, including Rohit Sharma, Mani Keeran, Param Desai, Daipayan Deb, Deepak Bajaj, and Bimal Bhagwat, are spearheading the California rally, aiming to express their devotion and contribution to Lord Ram's "homecoming," even though they cannot physically be present in Ayodhya.
