Here's why PM Modi requests that Cabinet members forego their February visit to Ayodhya

The recently inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees, prompting the local authorities to implement measures to manage the large gatherings. In response to this situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly advised his Cabinet Ministers against visiting Ayodhya in February. This directive comes in the aftermath of a substantial turnout of devotees at the Ram Mandir, particularly evident a day after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22.

According to sources, PM Modi has recommended that Cabinet Ministers postpone their visits to the temple until March, allowing the devotees to have a smoother experience without the disruptions associated with VIP visits. The Prime Minister discussed this matter in the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, seeking feedback from ministers regarding public sentiments following the inauguration of the long-awaited Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

During the meeting, PM Modi also emphasized the need for ministers to be considerate of the public's convenience, given the protocols and security measures implemented during VIP visits to the temple. The consecration ceremony of the new Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya temple, led by PM Modi, was a momentous event and was broadcast live across the country.

The consecration ceremony, attended by a diverse range of individuals, including prominent politicians, businessmen, sportspersons, and celebrities, provided the invitees with an opportunity for the 'darshan' of the deity immediately after the ceremony concluded. Following this exclusive event, the general public gained access to the temple on the subsequent day, with nearly five lakh devotees making their way to seek blessings on the first day alone.

Such was the enthusiasm among devotees that long queues began forming as early as 3 am on Tuesday, leading to a temporary suspension of darshan to manage the overwhelming crowd. In light of the substantial turnout, authorities in Ayodhya took preventive measures, including a ban on all incoming vehicles, to streamline the flow of devotees and ensure a safe and organized experience at the revered Ram Mandir.
