On January 25, Emmanuel Macron and PM Modi will visit Jaipur to inspect tourism attractions

Scheduled for January 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are anticipated to embark on a joint exploration of various tourist attractions in Jaipur before making their way to Delhi. Macron, who is slated to partake in the Republic Day parade on January 26 as the chief guest, is set to undertake a two-day sojourn in India.

During their visit to Jaipur, the leaders are expected to commence their excursion by visiting the historic 16th-century Amer Fort, a site distinguished as a UNESCO World Heritage. Subsequently, both dignitaries are anticipated to traverse on foot to Tripolia Gate, allowing them to witness the city's charms. The itinerary includes a visit to the Rambagh Hotel, preceding their departure for Delhi in the evening, featuring a planned roadshow between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron.

An integral component of the visit entails a probable bilateral meeting between the two leaders, where significant announcements are projected in the realms of defense and strategic sectors. Macron's invitation to partake in the Republic Day celebrations mirrors the upward trajectory in the bilateral relations between India and France, encompassing collaborations in defense, security, clean energy, trade, investment, and emerging technologies.

Accompanying Macron on this diplomatic excursion is a delegation comprising various ministers, CEOs, as well as notable figures from the cultural and scientific domains. Noteworthy is the shared commitment between India and France to collaborate on the co-development and co-production of advanced defense technologies, extending their cooperation to benefit third countries.

Reciprocating the diplomatic gestures, it is pertinent to note that Prime Minister Modi was previously accorded the guest of honor status during the Bastille Day parade in Paris in July of the preceding year.
