The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh orders the expulsion of the collector due to his remarks about aukat

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took decisive action by relieving Shajapur district collector Kishor Kanyal of his duties following an incident where he questioned the "aukat" (status) of a driver amidst a truckers' protest. This controversial move by Kanyal prompted Chief Minister Yadav to assert that such language would not be tolerated under his administration.

In response to this development, the Madhya Pradesh government issued an official order to transfer Kishor Kanyal to the position of state deputy secretary. Simultaneously, the new appointment of Narsinghpur's collector Riju Bafna as the replacement for the Shajapur district collector was announced.

The incident in question occurred during a meeting with representatives of a drivers' union, where Kanyal, in a moment of frustration, expressed regret for any offense caused by his words. A widely circulated video depicted Kanyal admonishing drivers and others not to take the law into their own hands. When a representative requested a more respectful tone, Kanyal retorted angrily, questioning, "Kya karoge tum, kya aukat hai tumhari?" (What will you do, what is your status?)

Chief Minister Yadav, expressing his displeasure with the episode, emphasized the government's commitment to uplifting the poor under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Regardless of an officer's rank, Yadav stressed the importance of respecting the work and sentiments of the less privileged. As the son of a laborer himself, Yadav conveyed his belief that officers employing such language are unsuitable for field postings. He expressed hope that the newly appointed officer in the role of Shajapur collector would actively curb such behavior, expressing personal dismay at the incident.
