Three times the value of Tejashwi's property, Nitish Kumar is worth Rs 1.6 crore


As per the information posted on the Cabinet Secretariat Department's website on Sunday evening, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has disclosed his total assets amounting to Rs 1.64 crore. This figure contrasts significantly with the immovable assets of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, which are valued at Rs 3 crore, triple the amount declared by Nitish Kumar.

Notably, Nitish Kumar's movable assets are appraised at Rs 16.84 lakh, complemented by immovable assets worth Rs 1.48 crore. Furthermore, he has acknowledged ownership of a flat in the Dwarka area of southwest Delhi. His financial holdings include Rs 22,552 in cash, reflecting a decrease from the previous year's figure of Rs 28,135, along with deposits totaling Rs 49,202 distributed across various bank accounts.

In contrast, the cumulative total assets of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his brother Tej Pratap Yadav amount to approximately Rs 7.68 crore, which is six times greater than the assets declared by Nitish Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav's movable assets are quantified at Rs 1.11 crore, while his immovable property stands at Rs 3 crore. His total income is declared as Rs 4,74,370, accompanied by Rs 50,000 in cash. Additionally, Tejashwi Yadav's wife, Rajshree Yadav, has Rs 1 lakh in cash, twice the amount declared by her husband.

Tej Pratap Yadav, serving as a minister in the Bihar government, has declared movable assets valued at Rs 1.79 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 1.78 crore. His cash holdings amount to Rs 98,572, and he has approximately Rs 17 lakh deposited in various banks. The details further reveal his ownership of a motorcycle worth Rs 29 lakh and a BMW valued at Rs 22 lakh.

It is noteworthy that Nitish Kumar's government has mandated the disclosure of assets and liabilities by all cabinet ministers on the last day of each calendar year.
