US Secretary of State Antony Blinken encountered a temporary predicament in Davos on Wednesday when his aircraft faced a "critical failure" linked to an oxygen leak. As a resolution, an alternate plane is being dispatched to Switzerland to facilitate his return to Washington, as conveyed by a member of his accompanying press pool.
Antony Blinken, in his capacity as the top US diplomat, had journeyed to Davos to partake in the annual World Economic Forum, commencing the trip on Monday with a planned return to Washington on Wednesday.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the aircraft involved was a Boeing plane; however, Reuters was unable to promptly verify the specific aircraft utilized by Blinken for this journey.
The sequence of events unfolded with Blinken initially traveling by helicopter from Davos to Zurich, where he embarked on his plane. Subsequently, he received notification that the aircraft was unable to execute the return flight.
