The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials apprehended a Tehsildar and his driver in Telangana's Medchal Malkajgiri district while they were caught red-handed accepting a bribe amounting to Rs 30 lakh.

As per the ACB's report, Tehsildar Thodeti Satyanarayana and his driver P Bhadri were nabbed at the Tehsildar office located in Shamirpet Mandal, Medchal Malkajgiri.

Their arrest occurred during the act of receiving a bribe of Rs 10 lakh in cash from the complainant, Movva Ramaseshagiri Rao.

The ACB further elucidated that the bribe was solicited in exchange for facilitating a favorable report and subsequently forwarding the file to the Collector for the issuance of pattadar passbooks of the lands in question.
