"My working style is similar to PM Modi's." Ajit Pawar comments on Sharad Pawar's NCP dissolution

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Ajit Pawar, released a statement on Monday, providing further explanation regarding his decision to align with the ruling BJP and the Shiv Sena-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state.

In his statement, Pawar commended the "strong leadership and correct decision-making" of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlighting the significance of the development initiatives undertaken under their guidance. He drew parallels between their working styles and expressed his admiration for their qualities.

Addressing the ongoing discussions surrounding the NCP's collaboration with the BJP and Shiv Sena, Pawar aimed to clarify his role in this matter. He emphasized the importance of the ongoing development efforts under the leadership of Modi and Shah, indicating his intention to align with them to further the state's progress.

Pawar stressed that his primary objective is to advance development endeavors without compromising on principles or objectives, asserting that he harbors no intention of causing harm, insult, or disrespect to anyone. He reiterated his commitment to executing development projects diligently and transparently.

Highlighting the necessity of being in a position of power to effectively serve the people, Pawar shared his observations on the challenges faced both in power and in opposition. He underscored the importance of governmental authority in facilitating development initiatives and improving infrastructure for the populace.

Furthermore, Pawar clarified that his intentions are not aimed at disrespecting elders but rather focused on enhancing the standard of living and infrastructure facilities for the people. He urged individuals to join him on his journey of development and sought blessings from senior figures.

Looking ahead, Pawar assured that the NCP would refrain from making personal comments and would instead present a comprehensive development agenda to the people of the state. He humbly appealed to citizens to support him in his pursuit of progress and sought the blessings of senior leaders.

Ajit Pawar, along with eight MLAs, became part of the Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra on July 2 last year.
