The Ram Madir ruling, according to Amit Shah, demonstrates India's secularism: No other country

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a speech delivered on Saturday, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his inclusive stance, highlighting how Modi adeptly navigated the Ram Mandir issue, ensuring the involvement of all segments of society.

Addressing the Lok Sabha during a deliberation on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the consecration ceremony held on January 22, the seasoned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader characterized the Supreme Court's verdict on the Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case as a testament to India's secular ethos in the eyes of the global community.

Shah underscored that the majority community's protracted wait for a resolution about its religious convictions is unparalleled globally, a sentiment echoing the patience and perseverance demonstrated by millions of adherents.

Furthermore, Shah underscored the temple's construction as a symbolic transition from struggle to devotion, emblematic of the transformative journey encapsulated in the shift from the invocation of 'Jai Shri Ram' to 'Jai Sia Ram'.

Expounding upon the deep-rooted cultural significance of the Ramayana within India's rich tapestry of heritage, Amit Shah asserted that the Ram Mandir's inauguration marked the culmination of a 300-year-long saga, heralding a new dawn for the nation.

In his oration, Shah extolled PM Modi's leadership and the religious observance he exhibited during the 11 days preceding the ceremony, lauding the meticulous planning and execution thereof.

Acknowledging the collective efforts of all those who contributed to the protracted struggle for the Ram Temple, Shah refuted critics' skepticism, affirming the BJP's unwavering commitment to fulfilling its pledges, grounded in sincerity rather than electoral expediency.

January 22, according to Shah, signifies the dawn of a new era for India, one that propels the nation towards reclaiming its mantle as a global leader (Vishwaguru), symbolizing the culmination of the aspirations of millions of devout believers.

With an eye toward the future, Shah expressed optimism regarding the trajectory set forth on January 22, envisioning the Modi government's return to power in the 2024 general elections. He emphasized that the Ram Mandir's construction adhered scrupulously to legal and constitutional norms, with the BJP exercising restraint to foster a harmonious milieu in Ayodhya.

Notably, during the consecration ceremony, Shah observed a conspicuous absence of political slogans, urging detractors to respect the prevailing sentiment of jubilation and piety while refraining from sowing discord.
