Never assume that the Congress and Jagan Reddy's party are the same: PM Modi in Andhra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu, emphasized that the Congress and the YSR Congress party, led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, are essentially the same entity. He cautioned the people against perceiving them as separate entities, asserting, "Never think that Jagan's party and Congress are two different parties. Both are the same."

His remarks followed the announcement of polling dates for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state, scheduled for May 13. PM Modi criticized the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government, alleging rampant corruption among state ministers and a sense of betrayal felt by the people.

Highlighting the contrasting approaches of the NDA and the Congress, PM Modi asserted that while the NDA aims to include everyone and promote national progress, the Congress pursues a strategy of "use and throw" with its allies.

PM Modi also underscored the NDA's respect for leaders dedicated to the country, contrasting it with the Congress's alleged history of insulting Andhra Pradesh's pride. He cited the NDA's recognition of PV Narasimha Rao with the Bharat Ratna as an example of their respect for regional leaders.

Further, PM Modi criticized the Congress's alliances with various parties, characterizing them as opportunistic and driven by compulsion rather than conviction. He contrasted this with the NDA's alliance, which he stated is built on regional aspirations and national progress.

PM Modi commended former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan for their dedicated efforts towards the state's development. He expressed confidence in the NDA's electoral prospects, aiming for over 400 seats in the general elections.

Additionally, PM Modi highlighted the recent seat-sharing agreement between the BJP, TDP, and Jana Sena Party for the upcoming elections, emphasizing the NDA's commitment to building a prosperous India and a developed Andhra Pradesh.
