As a result, aspirations to establish startups akin to Meta's current stature became commonplace. However, Meta's Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Bosworth, recently dispelled the notion of startup glamour in an interview, emphasizing the stark reality behind the scenes.
During a conversation on Lenny's Podcast, Bosworth delved into his experiences as one of the early engineers at Facebook, shedding light on the less glamorous aspects of startup life. He reminisced about the close-knit camaraderie among the early Facebook team, recounting how they often shared meals and resided near the office. However, Bosworth revealed that these communal meals weren't solely for enjoyment but rather a result of the immense workload they faced.
