Developmental experiments for an Indian-made anti-tank missile system are successful



The Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM), an indigenous anti-tank missile system, has undergone rigorous testing to validate its efficacy across diverse conditions, culminating in the successful completion of developmental trials. Spearheaded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), these trials have affirmed the readiness and reliability of the MPATGM weapon system.

Comprising the missile itself, a launcher, a targeting system, and a fire control unit, the MPATGM system has been subjected to extensive testing to ensure its operational effectiveness in varied environments. These tests, conducted per the specifications outlined by the Indian Army, have demonstrated the system's capability to meet stringent performance criteria.

Significantly, recent trials have specifically assessed the warhead performance of the missile, yielding exceptionally positive outcomes, particularly in engagements against modern tanks.
