The first employment for educated kids is guaranteed under Congress's five poll promises

Rahul Gandhi, after filing his nomination from Kerala's Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, unveiled the Congress party's five major guarantees for the upcoming general elections. These guarantees, as shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by the Gandhi scion, aim to ensure equal opportunities, a fair share in India’s growth, and a promising future for every Indian citizen. Here are the highlights of the Congress's guarantees:

1. **Pehli Naukri Pakki (First job assured):** Every educated youth will be guaranteed their first job with a salary of Rs 1 lakh.
2. **Mahalakshmi:** One woman in every poor family will receive Rs 1 lakh every year.
3. **Sahi Daam & Karz Mukti (Right price and loan free):** The Congress promises loan waivers and legal status to Minimum Support Price (MSP) based on the Swaminathan Commission’s formula.
4. **Shram Ka Samman (Honour for labor):** A national minimum wage of Rs 400 per day, including for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) workers.
5. **Ginti Karo (Census):** Every individual and community will be counted through a nationwide census to ensure social and economic equity.

Rahul Gandhi emphasized that these guarantees reflect the Congress Party's commitment to empowering every segment of society, including youth, women, farmers, workers, and marginalized citizens. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the benefits of the nation’s progress reach every household, rather than being concentrated among a few.

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi characterized the Lok Sabha elections as a battle to safeguard democracy and the Constitution of India. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP of attempting to undermine democracy and the Constitution, contrasting them with the Congress and the INDIA bloc, which he claimed are working to preserve these foundational principles.
