Ravi Kana, a notorious figure in Greater Noida's criminal underworld, and his girlfriend Kajal Jha were apprehended in Thailand following information received by the Noida Police. They had been on the run for an extended period, prompting the police to issue lookout and red-corner notices against them. The Noida Police is currently in the process of completing legal formalities to bring them back to India to face charges.
Ravi Kana faces serious criminal charges, including gang rape, with the police actively pursuing him since January 1, 2024, after a woman filed a rape case against him. Kajal Jha is implicated alongside him in his alleged criminal activities and is considered an equal partner in his crimes.
Before the recent rape case, Ravi Kana had ten other cases registered against him, but the eleventh case, filed by a woman alleging rape and extortion, proved particularly troublesome for him. The Noida Police has seized assets worth approximately Rs 350 crores, including properties and land holdings, alleging that Ravi Kana acquired these assets through proceeds from various criminal activities.
