Why this Indian is among the top ten most wanted fugitives on the FBI's list

The FBI has announced a reward of $250,000 for information leading to the arrest of Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, an Indian national wanted for the murder of his wife in Maryland back in 2015. Patel, who is on the FBI's 'Ten Most Wanted Fugitives' list, is considered "armed and extremely dangerous" and is suspected to be hiding in New Jersey, Canada, or possibly India.

Initially, the FBI had offered a $100,000 reward for information regarding Patel's whereabouts. He is accused of brutally murdering his wife, Palak Patel, by striking her multiple times with an object at a Dunkin' Donuts shop in Hanover, Maryland, where they both worked the night shift. The FBI believes the murder occurred just before midnight on April 12, 2015.

Following the murder, Patel fled the scene, and a federal arrest warrant was issued for him shortly afterward. Investigators revealed that Palak Patel, aged 21 at the time, had expressed a desire to return to India, but her husband opposed the idea. Their visas had expired a month before the murder, adding complexity to their situation.

The FBI is actively seeking any information regarding Patel's whereabouts and is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Patel faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, and dangerous weapons with intent to injure.
