Effective May 1, the Oil Marketing Companies have announced a reduction in the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders nationwide, including major metro cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. The revised rates, marked down by Rs 19, have been implemented immediately.
In New Delhi, the cost of a commercial cylinder stands at Rs 1,745.50 from today onwards.
Mumbai witnesses a reduction to Rs 1,698.50 from the previous price of Rs 1,717.50.
Similarly, in Chennai, the price has been decreased by Rs 19, bringing it down to Rs 1,911 from Rs 1,930.
Kolkata has also seen a downward revision in prices by Rs 20, with a 19 kg LPG cylinder now priced at Rs 1,859.
This reduction in LPG cylinder prices correlates with the decline in global oil prices, against which domestic fuel prices are typically benchmarked. This marks the third consecutive day of a decrease in global oil prices.
