When a large fire breaks out at the Karnataka market, over ten stores are destroyed

A massive fire erupted in a market in Koppal, Karnataka, on Monday, resulting in the destruction of 10-12 shops. The fire started around 3 pm in a hardware shop and rapidly spread to adjacent shops.

Firefighters were dispatched promptly to the scene to combat the blaze. Koppal SP Yashodha Vantagodi, who assessed the situation at the site, stated that the fire was nearly under control. She mentioned that there is no clarity on the exact origin of the fire, with some reports suggesting it began in a paint shop. Fortunately, all individuals in the vicinity were safely evacuated, and no casualties have been reported.

Despite continuous efforts to extinguish the flames, thick plumes of smoke persisted for several hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though a short circuit is suspected. Authorities are still working to determine the full extent of the damage caused by the fire.
